It is made of fiber cement. This is a composite material, which includes quartz sand M-300, Portland cement 133-ES, mineral fillers and cellulose fibers (used for reinforcement). The proportions of the components and the production technology are such as to guarantee high strength, resistance to mechanical, temperature and other loads.

Frost resistance. Exceeds 150 cycles, after which the material retains at least 90% of its strength. A high rate provides low water absorption (not more than 20% when fully immersed in water). In practice, under normal operating conditions, fiber cement siding does not absorb moisture and does not collapse even in regions with the most severe winters.

Fire safety. It is confirmed by official tests, according to the results of which a certificate is issued. Fiber cement siding refers to low combustible materials. It does not burn, does not support combustion, an open flame does not spread on its surface.

Preparation for installation

Installing the sheathing material involves several steps. The first is preparatory. Before installing the siding, carefully prepare the walls. Stone surfaces are cleaned, irregularities are eliminated. After this, the walls must be covered with a primer. Wooden surfaces should be treated with an antiseptic and covered with a membrane.

The next stage includes the installation of the lathing and insulation. The subsystem includes horizontal and vertical bars, previously impregnated with an antiseptic composition. Initially, horizontal products are fastened to the load-bearing wall using nails or screws. The crate must be laid in increments of 600 mm. Intermediate horizontal bars need to lay mineral wool or other insulation (the thickness of the insulator should be the same with the thickness of the beam).

Next, the installation of vertical bars on top of horizontal. For fiber cement boards it is recommended to leave an air gap of 2 cm to avoid the risk of condensation on the wall under the casing.

The next stage is the installation of the start profile and additional elements. In order to eliminate the risks of penetration of rodents and other pests under the skin, a perforated profile along the perimeter of the structure should be fixed. Then the start profile is mounted, thanks to which it is possible to set the optimal slope of the first panel. Next, the corner elements are fastened. After the joints of the substructure (from the bars), an EPDM tape is installed.

Subtleties of installation

Fixing a Cedral cement board requires self-tapping screws and a screwdriver. Collect the canvas from bottom to top. The first panel must be laid on the start profile. The overlap must not be less than 30 mm.

Kedral Click boards should be mounted joint to joint in specialized kleimers.

Installation, as in the previous version, starts from the bottom. Procedure:

mounting the panel on the start profile,
fixing the top of the board with a kleimer,
installation of the next panel on the kleimers of the previous product,
fixing the top of the installed board.

All assembly should be done according to this scheme. It’s easy to work with the material because it is easy to process. For example, fiber cement boards can be sawn, drilled or milled. If necessary, such manipulations will not require specialized equipment. You can use improvised tools, such as a grinder, jigsaw or "circular".
